Introduction: Francis A. Countway Library of Medicine

DISCOVERY

Working in the Longwood Medical Area of Boston, I am surrounded by world renowned hospitals all affiliated with the Harvard Medical School. The Francis A. Countway Library of Medicine is one of the three largest medical libraries in the world. The abundance of resources was limitless. .https://www.countway.harvard.edu/index.html

The library holds more than 630,000 volumes, subscribes to 3,500 current journal titles, and houses over 10,000 non-current biomedical journal titles. The History of Medicine includes the Archives and Records Management Program and the Warren Anatomical Museum.  It has over 800 books printed before 1501. https://www.countway.harvard.edu/menuNavigation/aboutCountway.html
